Again, Pastor Edwin led us in devotion, followed by a second day of songs, skits, poems, and dancing by the children.
We then performed a skit called “Kingdom Chaos”, which had the theme of “Jesus is our King – He reigns with love, and we belong to His Kingdom”. The animal tie-in was a lion, which represents Jesus, the Lion of Judah. This was about some of the worldly rulers and voices out there. In contrast, Jesus is the only good and perfect King – and in His Kingdom we find our true identity.
Again, the students broke out into their three respective group rotations for recreation, crafts, and music. The music and recreation were similar to the previous day. For the crafts, we had originally planned for three days of VBS, but due to the PP2 (Pre-Primary 2) graduation on Friday, VBS was condensed to two days.
The younger children created lambs, representing Jesus as the Lamb who was sacrificed for our sins, and the One who brings us close to God. Through Him, we are clean, accepted, and never alone.
The older children created lion puppets, reminding them that Jesus, the Lion of Judah, is our King.
We are especially thankful for the generous craft and recreation donations that made these activities possible. The joy on the children’s faces as they created, played, and learned about Jesus was a beautiful reminder of how God works through the hands and hearts of His people everywhere.
We then spent the afternoon again prepping, priming and painting around the campus, working on the SNE (Special Needs Education) classroom and work shop (more on the progress of these later).
