We were filled with joy as we met many of the children sponsored through Grace Lutheran Church. Seeing their smiles as they received gifts from their sponsors—letters, clothing, school supplies, and small treasures chosen with love—was deeply moving. For some team members, it was an especially meaningful moment to meet their own sponsored child face-to-face, to share hugs, laughter, and prayer together. It was a beautiful reminder of how God weaves His family together across oceans and cultures, uniting us through the love of Christ. As St. Paul reminds us, “We are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28).
Sponsoring a child is a powerful expression of Christian love and stewardship. Through sponsorship, a child not only receives access to education, nutritious meals, and medical care but also experiences the assurance that someone far away cares for them and prays for them by name. It is a tangible way to share the Gospel, nurturing both body and spirit. For sponsors, it becomes a living partnership in faith—an opportunity to witness God’s grace transforming lives and to be reminded that in Christ, generosity and compassion have no borders. Sponsorship reflects Christ’s command to “let the little children come to Me” (Matthew 19:14), embodying His love in action.
